Johoku Tsubasa High School

“Living in the moment and thinking of the future” is our philosophy at Johoku Tsubasa High School.
Johoku Tsubasa High School was established in the north of Nagoya city in 2017.
The school has two divisions, Day school and Night school. Day school is designed for students who were unable to attend or often absent from junior high school and want to study again for the future and students from foreign countries who wish to learn basic Japanese.
Night school has a long history that is originated from Aichi Technical High School established in 1918. Students learn technical skills such as mechanical, architectural and electrical engineering for their future careers.
Day school students take four classes in the morning on weekdays and, in the afternoon, students can join club activities, work part time or are free to go home.
In general, you need to get more than 74 credits to graduate from high school, therefore it takes four years if you take only morning classes. But, if you want to graduate in three years, you have a choice; you can take additional afternoon classes to get 74 credits within three years.
Night school students can also graduate in three years by taking optional classes or the High School Equivalency Test. (In addition to the credits, there are some other requirements to graduate. Contact us for more details.)
At Johoku Tsubasa High School, students can choose what, when, where, and how to study that is best suited to their individual lifestyles and futures.
